Zwicker Zareski Architecture + Planning and Kassner Goodspeed Architects
Enter an Alliance for Expanded Capabilities
Halifax, Nova Scotia – January 25, 2019 - Zwicker Zareski Architecture + Planning (ZZap) are pleased to announce that they will enter into an alliance with Kassner Goodspeed Architects (KGA), one of the longest standing architecture firms in the region, to expand their capabilities for planning and architecture in Atlantic Canada.
ZZap was founded in 2018 by planner Greg Zwicker and architect Joe Zareski and has established a reputation as a primary integrated firm in Atlantic Canada for planning, land development, real estate development and building design, working with the most reputable property owners in HRM and the region.
As Dan Goodspeed states, “This partnership is part of a key transition for both firms. As ZZap continues to grow and respond to market demands for integrated architecture and planning services, we recognized a strong fit in their values as true collaborators.”
ZZap and the KGA team will join forces effective February 1, 2019. They will operate as ZZap and Principals Kassner and Goodspeed will see projects through to completion over the next 2-3 years. This combined effort will create mentoring and learning opportunities for the broader team and will also create continuity for ongoing projects.
“As the profession evolves, the way a project gets delivered is much more of a shared effort. Our focus on understanding the place, the story and the interactive process has served us well since the firm’s inception. Dan Goodspeed and Richard Kassner share that vision and we look forward to this opportunity to expand our teams, share resources and create spaces for people to thrive,” comments Zareski.
Zwicker Zareski Architecture + Planning – ZZap – integrates into property owners’ and developers’ operations as a strategic design partner during early site conceptualization to optimize development potential and design quality for Urban and Suburban sites. With 40 years of combined industry experience, principals Greg Zwicker MCIP, LPP and Joe Zareski, NSAA, MRAIC, believe that the fusion of architecture and planning that listens to ‘the place’ and builds consensus through authentic and meaningful engagement results in distinct projects that are embraced by the communities they serve.
